Numerous hands-on exercises will help you develop the essential percussion techniques you'll need to play your best. Danny teaches big band beats and advanced drum set techniques that will set you up for all styles of music. He takes apart a variety of Brazilian grooves (samba, bossa nova, partito alto, etc.) and imparts a fascinating lesson in counting and playing complex rhythms using the Indian syllable method.

Finally, bassist Mark Egan joins Danny for a discussion of how a bassist and drummer successfully work together. They close the DVD with some sizzling duets to illustrate their long-time working method for creating blues and jazz grooves.
